Living with Dementia: First Steps Workshops

meetingThe Living with Alzheimer’s Disease or Other Dementias workshop sessions bring together specialists providing practical information that will be helpful to people living with dementia; and to the family and friends who support them. This intensive, “how-to course” addresses many relevant topics including the physical, mental and emotional changes common in Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.

This information will help you manage day to day activities and better understand changes as they occur. You will also receive information that will help you plan for upcoming decisions regarding legal, financial, and medical concerns that affect your future. Other topics include community resources, home care, the family perspective and remembering self-care.

Supporting the health and wellbeing of our local community is our highest priority. In an effort to minimize the spread of the Covid-19 virus, we are postponing our public education.

This can be a difficult and isolating time for people. We are open, call us if you have any questions or want to talk.
