Ask your employer if your company has a matching donation program. It's a great way to increase your pledge levels and earn great prizes!
BENEFITS FOR COMPANY TEAMS:
- A company team profile with team photo on the Memory Walk website.
- “Learn at Lunch” dementia information sessions for employees at their workplace hosted by Alzheimer Society staff (by request)
- “Virtual Dementia Tours” at the workplace conducted by Alzheimer Society staff or Alzheimer Society volunteers (by request)
- Team T-shirts for all team members.
- Delivery of walk supplies prior to the walk (including-shirts, prizes and food coupons). No waiting in line for the company team on walk day!
- Company teams raising $5000+ will have their team photo along with their company's fundraising achievement published in a special Winnipeg Free Press insert
- A great team building and employee engagement experience for your staff.
SUPPORT FOR COMPANY TEAMS:
- One on one support and coaching for team captain from an Alzheimer Society rep throughout the campaign.
- Opportunity for Alzheimer staff to do motivational kick off with company team.
- Personalized recruitment e-blasts for team captains to send to staff.
- Personalized motivational e-blasts for team captains to send to team mates.
- Personalized posters for company teams.
- Tip sheets on how to fundraise as a team (ie. teams can use the Virtual Dementia Tour as a company wide fundraiser-- donate to take the tour!).
WHAT ARE OUR EXPECTATIONS OF PARTICIPATING COMPANIES?
- Companies will be encouraged to actively recruit employees to participate on the company team (assign responsibility to team captain).
- Companies will be encouraged to provide an opportunity for their team to fundraise at their workplace.
- Companies will be encouraged to support their team’s fundraising goals.
