Alzheimer Society Research Program 2026 grant recipients
This year the ASRP invested over $4.1 million in 31 researchers across Canada.

The Alzheimer Society Research Program (ASRP) has been sparking the work of the best and brightest minds in the field since 1989. To date, the Alzheimer Society of Canada has invested over $83 million in research grants and awards toward innovative dementia research nationally.
This year, the ASRP invested over $4.1 million in 31 researchers across Canada to advance research related to all forms of dementia and find more effective means to diagnose, treat and eventually stop the disease, as well as improve day-to-day life and care.
This year’s funding supports a wide variety of work across the country, from brain imaging and AI-supported tools, to culturally informed care approaches and strategies for earlier detection. The ASRP funds dementia research in Canada through four award categories: Doctoral Awards, Postdoctoral Awards, New Investigator Grants and Proof of Concept Grants.
The 2026 grant recipients reflect a wide range of scientific disciplines and innovative approaches within the ASRP’s eight priority areas.
