Connecting people living with early to moderate signs of dementia and their care partners through fitness, conversation and activity. You don’t need a formal diagnosis to participate.
Program overview
Minds in Motion® offers a dementia-friendly and inclusive atmosphere for people living with early to moderate signs of dementia and their care partners. It is a space to connect, move gently and share moments of joy without judgment, ensuring that you feel supported, heard and welcomed.
Each session includes 45 minutes of gentle chair exercise led by a certified fitness instructor, followed by coffee and social conversation, games and creative engagement that build confidence and connection. Care partners must attend.
The cost to attend is $65/pair unless otherwise noted.

FAQ
Up to 11 pairs (22 participants) can attend.
Minds in Motion® is facilitated in eight-week sessions three times a year throughout the province:
- Fall (starting in October)
- Winter (starting in January)
- Spring (starting in April)
Please note that not all regional locations run three times a year.
Each session is two hours.
Fitness runs for 45 – 50 minutes, followed by coffee/conversation for 30 minutes and games for 40 minutes.
A certified instructor leads fitness and ASM staff and volunteers lead the rest.
We have bocce ball, floor curling, axe throwing, Words in Word, trivia and conversational games.
