Stronger Together: Finding Support & Community
The theme for this year’s Care4u conference is Stronger Together: Finding Support & Community. Dr. Caspar kicks off the conference with her opening keynote presentation “Resilience on the caring journey: Exploring the role of self-compassion.” Drawing on current research and honest self-reflection, you’ll explore how resilience and self-compassion are deeply interconnected. You’ll also learn to embrace our imperfections with kindness during the caring journey.
Following her keynote, Dr. Caspar will discuss communication through dementia in “‘Please understand me’: Dementia & communication.” This morning breakout session is an introduction to practical, person-centred strategies to help you connect with the person living with dementia and promote dignity in your interactions.
