Help make dementia a budget priority in Manitoba

Complete the Manitoba Budget 2026 survey and share your experience with dementia.

We need your help.

Right now, we have an opportunity to influence the future of dementia care in our province.

The Manitoba government has launched its 2026 budget online survey, inviting Manitobans to share their priorities. This is a significant opportunity for our community to speak up about dementia and make sure it receives the attention, funding and support it urgently deserves.

Dementia affects more than just the person diagnosed. It impacts care partners, families, friends, workplaces and communities across Manitoba. Yet too often, the realities of living with dementia — long wait times, limited supports, caregiver burnout and financial strain — go unheard.

That’s why our voices matter.

This budget survey includes a comment box where you can share your personal experience with dementia. Whether you are living with dementia, supporting a friend or family member, or have seen the gaps in care firsthand, your words can help decision-makers understand the real-life impact of dementia has and the need for increased investment.

You don’t need to write something long or formal. Simply a few sentences about:

  • The challenges you’ve faced
  • The supports you wish were available
  • How dementia has affected your life or family

You’ll be asked to sign in or create a free account on the EngageMB website to complete the survey. This helps ensure feedback is collected fairly and securely.

The survey is open until Feb. 21, 2026. Please take a few minutes to submit your answers and share your experience. Together, we can help make sure dementia is recognized as a growing priority in Manitoba.
