Online event: End of Life Considerations for People Living with Cognitive Impairment

This talk will remind participants that neurocognitive disorders are progressive and may be terminal for many people living with dementia. Palliative care principles are relevant to varying degrees along the course. We will discuss symptom management and considerations such as tube feeding and goals of care discussions.
Presenter: Chris Frank MD, FCFP
Chris Frank graduated from medicine at the University of Western Ontario in 1989. He completed family medicine training at Queen’s University, then did additional training in Care of the Elderly at Queen’s. He has a focused practice in geriatrics and palliative care. He is a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatric Medicine. His clinical roles include inpatient geriatric rehabilitation, palliative care inpatient unit, and outpatient geriatrics.
