Leaving a gift in your Will is a way to create a lasting difference in your community while contributing to causes that matter to you.

These gifts also offer tax benefits, helping you leave more for the people you care about.

Your generous gift will ensure families have a place to turn to for support and guidance.

Why leave a gift?

A gift in your Will is not only a meaningful way to support a cause you care deeply about – there are personal benefits, too:

  • Lasting impact: Your gift will continue to make a difference for generations to come.
  • Personal touch: Your legacy gift can be a general donation or directed to a program that resonates most with you.
  • Tax advantages: A planned gift can reduce the taxes on your estate, benefitting you and your loved ones.
  • Flexibility: Your Will can evolve with you. You can leave a gift of any size today, and update it later if your circumstances change.

How do I leave a gift?

Will-Signing

Leaving a gift is simple. You can donate a specific amount, a percentage of your estate or assets, like stocks. It won’t affect your current income and it will make a powerful difference in the future.

By leaving a gift in your Will, you could turn a small portion of your estate into a game-changing contribution. You may think you don’t have much to give, but even 1% of your assets could be a bigger donation than you’d normally be able to make (and you still leave 99% to support loved ones).

How to write your Will

We know writing a Will can feel overwhelming. By preparing today, you can make a difference in your own well-being, the future of the people you care about and the charitable organizations you support.

We recommend consulting with a lawyer or financial planner, along with your family and loved ones, before you make any decisions, to ensure your wishes are documented and properly executed.

Testimonial

I wanted to make a legacy contribution dedicated to my mother. In addition to providing for our daughter, we wanted to give back to our community in named bequests to those charities we have supported through our lives.
