The Alzheimer Society is grateful to live, work and enjoy the original lands of the Anishinaabe, Anishininewuk, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, Dakota Oyate, Denesuline, Dene Peoples, Inuit, Nehethowuk Nations and the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.
At the Society, we’re working towards a better understanding of Indigenous peoples’ unique cultural needs as it relates to everyday dementia care. We acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and are moving forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of sharing, reconciliation, community and collaboration.
