First Link® Dementia Helpline
You are not alone. The Alzheimer Society is your First Link to a community of support, expertise and resources.
Confidential support is just a phone call or email away.
Whether you’re looking for one-time guidance or continuous support as you navigate dementia, our First Link team is here to help.
Contact our Dementia Helpline at 1-800-378-6699 or email alzmb@alzheimer.mb.ca. Our offices are open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Want us to reach out to you instead? Simply fill out our First Link online form, and we will be in touch.
Sometimes all you need is a listening ear.
We are here to meet your needs, and you don’t need a diagnosis to connect.
We encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have, including:
- Signs and symptoms of dementia
- Questions to ask your doctor
- Understanding what’s involved in seeking assessment and a diagnosis
- Navigating the health system, community services, home care services and long-term care
- Information to help with planning for the future (care, financial, legal)
- Managing changes to relationships, roles and responsibilities
- Coping with grief, loss or burnout
- Understanding care needs and in-home safety
Our caring staff meets you where you’re at and provides resources to help guide you through your next steps.
