The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual with strong communication and organizational skills. This is a full-time permanent position.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for:
- answering main telephone line and directing calls to appropriate staff/department
- greeting and assisting visitors in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner
- responding to emails
- when possible, replying to telephone, email, and in-person general inquiries and resolving
- providing administrative support to other departments which includes data entry, telephone donations, ordering supplies, doing bank deposits and assisting with special projects as needed.
The successful candidate will have:
- pleasant phone manners and excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
- proficiency in computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook), technology and equipment, including fax machines, printers, copiers, scanners, and computers
- excellent typing skills
- attention to detail
- office experience preferably in a non-profit environment
- certificate or diploma from an administrative assistant program, an asset
