Administrative Coordinator – applications due July 12th
The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba is hiring for a full-time permanent Administrative Coordinator at the provincial office in Winnipeg.
The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the administrative needs of the provincial office personnel, ensuring the office site is conducive to a welcoming and productive environment all while serving as the Alzheimer Society person-centered donor and client ambassador.
Position Requirements
- At least 2-years’ experience in the administrative support field
- Experience working with databases
- Meticulous approach to administrative tasks
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Raiser’s Edge), technology and equipment, including fax machines, printers, copiers, scanners, and computers
- Professional appearance and courteous manner

Dementia-Friendly Program Manager – applications due July 22nd
The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba is hiring for a full-time permanent Dementia-Friendly Program Manager at the provincial office in Winnipeg.
The Dementia Friendly Program Manager is responsible for the management of dementia friendly programming in Manitoba, including through the administration and promotion of the Minds in Motion program and partnerships, the development of community partnered programming, and facilitating dementia-friendly capacity building within organizations across Manitoba.
Formal Education
- A certificate in Therapeutic Recreation for Older Adults, or degree in Recreation Studies or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Provincial or national accreditation in fitness, preferably in exercise to music or active older adult programming is an asset.
Work Experience
- A minimum of five years’ experience in community based recreation programming
- Experience working with older adults in program settings
- Experience in program design
- Experience recruiting and directing volunteers
Working Level Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of the needs of older Manitobans and the family members and friends who support them
- Demonstrated understanding of the health issues of older adults
- Demonstrated skills of needs assessment, program planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and projects
- Demonstrates skills in community liaison and advocacy
- Demonstrated skills in leading volunteers, including recruitment, training and development, mentoring and performance evaluation
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills
- Demonstrated skills in administration, including budgeting and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in the use of the Office Suite
- Holds a valid driver’ license and able to travel throughout the Winnipeg region and Manitoba

Client Support Coordinator – applications due July 22nd
The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba is hiring for a full-time permanent Client Support Coordinator at the provincial office in Winnipeg.
The Client Support Coordinator is responsible for the provision of support, information and education services to people with dementia and their family care partners within the Winnipeg Region.
FORMAL EDUCATION
A degree or certificate in a social sciences or health care discipline.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Three years of experience working in a social sciences or health care related discipline
- Experience in maintaining client records via an electronic database
- Experience in the field of dementia care and family support an asset
- Experience in providing supportive counselling an asset
- Experience working in non-profit milieu an asset
ATTRIBUTES
- Speaking/reading French is an asset
- Friendly and approachable
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional listening, oral and written communications skills
- Ability to work independently and as a strong team contributor
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development
- Sensitivity to the needs of persons living with dementia and their families
- Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of community resources and supports available to the older adult population.
- Demonstrates strong computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite and data base file management, as well as online social platforms such as Zoom.
