Distinguished Member Award: Ray Bisson
Ray Bisson is an outstanding volunteer and has been a distinguished leader of the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba since 2017. He has dedicated an incredible amount of time and energy to expanding the Society’s reach as both our Gala and Board Chair, among many other accomplishments. He is now Board Chair of the Alzheimer Society of Canada, helping families living with dementia across the country.
He can make connections with people experiencing dementia from all walks of life. He connects with others through shared experiences and genuine empathy.
Ray participated in the First Link® Campaign launch, which raised $1.3 million, while leveraging another $1.3 million to form a new partnership with Manitoba Health. This allowed families to get information, support and education earlier in their dementia journey.
Thank you, Ray, for your continuous commitment and generosity to the Society. Because of your hard work and contributions, we’ve been able to commit to helping more people living with dementia and their care partners.
Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Award: Robert Cey

He is a loyal supporter who believes in helping others and isn’t afraid to put in the work to achieve his goals. He is an outstanding fundraiser and representative of the Society’s pillars.
Thank you, Robert, for your kindness and effort. We see the trust people hold in you, and we appreciate everything you do.
