The successful candidate can be elected for a maximum of two consecutive three-year terms. Our Chief Executive Officer manages a professional team with an annual operating budget of approximately $2.7 million. Directors and Officers Liability insurance is provided for all board members.
The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba board follows the Carver Policy Governance® model with its focus on outcomes. We meet as a Board six times per year. Our compensation is the satisfaction that is derived from making a positive difference in the lives of people affected by dementia and those who care for them.
Founded over thirty-six years ago, the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba exists so that all Manitobans affected by dementia receive the help they need today and have hope for the future. As a province-wide organization, the Society seeks to achieve its mission through supporting individuals and families with First Link education and support programs; building dementia friendly communities and funding research.
